I know there are equipment regulations in other sports - like bats in baseball and sticks in hockey. What about golf clubs?

I have found some great deals on golf clubs on www.golfshopping18.com and www.golfwholesale18.com. I was wondering if you have found any prices lower than the prices on that website.

Anyone know the golf site wowogolf. I am wondering if they are selling fake clubs. There prices on brand new golf equipment is way to cheap. $500 of on a new iron set sounds way to cheap to believe.

How do I hit longer golf drives? (Swing and equipment)?

March 5th, 2010

jenn asked:

I’m 5′4″ medium weight female in mid 20s. On my good drives I get that ‘lift’ and carry about 185yrds. Most drives though go higher and shorter. Alot of it is probably my swing– what can I do to get that ‘lifting’ flight on every drive? My driver is Ping 13.5* with 6.0 torque shaft. The ping fitting on the website recommended this setup. But should I be using a lower lofted driver? My cobra sz 20* (5.0 torque) wood carries 175 so I feel like the drives should carry 200yds. Thanks.

I have a $100 gift certificate burning a hole im my pocket to a golf shop. What should I buy?

March 2nd, 2010

scxtte asked:

I am still in the early phases of my golf career (broke 100 twice). Should I dish out some of my own money for a nice driver? Buy a fairway wood? Buy a wedge? Buy a putter? All of my equipment is ok. I bought used equipment about a year ago that is name brand and previously highly rated. Chipping and putting are my biggest weakness but I have not practiced either too much. My game is not very long. Even when hitting well I am typically chipping for par.

Any ideas?

How much do you spend on golf games per month? How much do you make?

February 26th, 2010

Shane W asked:

Each game could cost between $50-80 including the green fees and carts. Is it worth it to learn? I make $100K per year but I find the game too expensive, unlike tennis. I could be blowing off $300-400 per month on the games, driving ranges, equipment.

Is it only a very rich man’s game?

I think it’s a myth that golf is for the top executives who make million-dollar deals on the course. Maybe 0.1% people do it. Other 99.9% people probably play for “status”.

I believe it is the most hyped up sport in the world. Do you agree?
