â–ºAurora Borealis asked:

I only just discovered this sport because i watched some disc golf videos on YouTube but i’m already hooked.

The question is now and want to get outside and play, where can i purchase some decent disc golf equipment and what sort of price would i be looking at having to spend on this stuff?

Bearing in mind i live in the UK, and i’ll probably be buying online what reputable sites are there that i’d feel comfortable with handing my card details over to?

Thanks in advance.

sorry questions should read ‘*now i want to…’

Looking to open a pro shop and I want to carry Callaway, Titleist, etc. products. I am looking for a supplier of these products and have not been able to locate one. I am not interested in carrying knock offs of brand name golf equipment.
I am not looking for a retail company like edwin watts or tgw. Other suggestions?

Was the 1940’s with Robert Trent Jones building huge tees, flat manicured fairways the start of the downfall in golf architecture? It was followed by the golf cart then equipment and balls?

Can American golf survive the high fees and pretty golf courses and get back to its Scottish roots?
Its Robert Trent Jones Sr. the golf architect not Bobby Jones.

Golf and sports equipment in Australia?

Sarah asked:

Our family is considering moving to Australia from the US. We are amateur golfers and would like to continue. Could someone from down under give us some tips on golf over there? Where would one buy a nice set of clubs or should we bring our own? In the states, there are many online golf equipment stores one can buy at very good prices. We can buy a nice Taylormade set for USD500. If we want to visit a store to look at clubs, we can go to Sports Authority or Golf Smith or some others. Are there large sporting goods stores in Australia? The kids also like fishing, basketball, tennis, badminton, so the sporting goods store is one of the first places we need to go when we get there. Would appreciate someone knowledgeable to give us some ideas.
